Our Strategy

STRATEGIC PLAN (2022 – 2026)

Waris Care has commissioned a strategic plan to guide the organization on strategic objectives for the next five years.

The strategic plan will guide and inform our development and funding partners, investors, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders of the work we are doing and foster strong linkages and partnerships with them to achieve maximum results and impact. It will also set out a clear framework for accountability, mechanisms of achieving the stated objectives as well as ensuring that sustainable impact of our programs will be measured, critiqued and/or appreciated.

 

The Strategic Plan is aligned with and seeks to contribute to achieving Somalia’s National Development Plan (NDP9) in the sections of economic growth and job creation, good governance and anti-corruption, social development and humanitarian response, and regional cooperation and integration, and the United Nations’ 2030 agency for sustainable development and gives the overall direction of the organization’s programming for the next five years.

 

This strategic plan was a product of an extensive review and consultation process within organization’s branches, and our partners analyzing the internal and external environment to formulate the goals and objectives and use it as a framework for planning and allocation of resources to achieve its vision and mission.

Our Core Values

Our core values are rooted in a commitment to breaking down barriers and serving every individual in need. Founded in August 2017 as a non-governmental, non-profit organization, our goal is to create a platform that goes beyond financial contributions, encouraging people to invest their human capital and ideas in building a strong, community-based system.
